Prof. Dr. Ekkehard Neuhaus

Ekkehard Neuhaus is Professor of Plant Physiology at RPTU Kaiserslautern-Landau. His research focuses on energy and sugar transport in plant cells and bacteria. He investigates the functions and structure of the involved transport proteins, in particular ATP and sugar carriers. He also researches the adaptation processes of plants to changing environmental conditions. His goal is the targeted breeding of resistant crop plants. Ekkehard Neuhaus is spokesperson of the Transregio 175 “The Green Hub – Central Coordinator of Acclimation in Plants”.

Ekkehard Neuhaus is a Visiting Fellow at CAS in July 2024 at the invitation of Prof. Dr. Dario Leister. He is the respondent of the CAS Showcase Photosynthesis: Know, Grow and Glow on 8 July 2024.
